AP Government

Students in AP US Government worked together to create a class banner that illustrates the content of the Declaration of Independence. This reading was one of the 15 foundational documents required for students to complete by the end of the school year.

The class was divided into four groups focused on an essential question associated with the document. Here are the four questions:

Ā·         What is the philosophical basis (background) of the Declaration?

Ā·         What are the grievances made by the colonies?

Ā·         What are their intentions? What is their message?

Ā·         What are the implications of the Declaration?

The class was given a large piece of butcher paper (about 12 feet long) to complete.
