Whitewater Volleyball hosted Delavan-Darien in a conference match-up on Tuesday evening, October 1, in their Play for Trey Event -- a night to remember Treyton Kilar, a young boy whose life was taken far too soon, and also to raise awareness around the importance of responsible decision-making.
Both teams battled all night, however, Delavan ultimately took the match 3-2. Whitewater came out ready to play in set 1 and took charge, defeating Delavan 25-21. Following set one, Delavan relaxed into play and took sets 2 and 3 (25-17, 25-12). Whitewater was not ready to call it a night yet and pushed the match to 5 by winning the fourth 25-23. After a slow start in set 5 (Whitewater was down 1-7 and 5-11) Whitewater battled back to tie the set at 11 - 11 and then 13-13. A few unlucky balls gave Delavan the advantage and they took the set (15-13) and the match.

Whitewater heads to Monroe on Thursday night for another conference match-up.
