In Advanced Math on 3/14, in honor of PI Day, students conducted Buffon's Needle Experiment, which involves dropping a needle (or, in this case, a toothpick) onto a sheet of paper with parallel lines. Together, students calculated the probability of the needle crossing one of the lines and uncovered its fascinating connection to PI.
